Mat Pilates Teacher Training
Classical Mat Pilates with Innovations for today’s Body Teacher Training
With Meg Heller & Danielle Sardi
The Pilates Method
This 100 Mat Pilates teacher training course will introduce you to the history and principles of the Pilates Method, originally known as Contrology. Throughout the execution of this program you will come to understand the classical mat repertoire, as well as what made Joe Pilates such a visionary, and why the Pilates Method has withstood the test of time.
The goal of this training is to give you a strong foundation of Classical Mat Pilates. Understanding this method will allow you to feel the moves correctly in your body, as well as teach clients safely and with confidence no matter the body in front of you.

We look forward to hearing from you in regards to the upcoming training.
Part 1
May 8, 9, 10 and 11, 2025 Mother’s Day weekend
These are full days, about 8 hours each day.
Part 2
November 7th, 8th, and 9th, 2025
This weekend is about testing out and receiving your certification.
Requirements for the training?
You are required to have at least 10 hours of mat Pilates under your belt before the training starts. It is our hope that you have been a student of Pilates for some time, and seek to further your knowledge in the Method.

Between the two training weekends you are required to obtain a set number of hours.
This course is 100 hours total: 40 in-class hours with your teachers-both weekends, 20 observation hours, 20 practical hours (you taking mat classes/ privates), and 20 teaching hours (no zoom teaching).
After May 12th you are NOT a certified Mat Pilates Teacher. You will have all of the information to deepen your understanding and practice and then you will test out in Nov. 2025. (Trust us, you need this long to really figure it out, but the learning never stops).
Exams
On Saturday November 8th, 2025 you will take 3 exams (written, practical and teaching). All three exams must be passed in order to obtain your certification. You must also complete all of your required hours of teaching, observing, and practicing prior to this date and have turned those hours in.
After successful completion of this course (passing the written exams must be 85% or greater) you will receive an accredited certification as a Mat Pilates Teacher. Again, if you don’t test out you are not certified.
Cost of the training
The total cost of the training will be $2000. A $200 deposit is due Feb. 1st, 2025 to hold your place this will of course be added to the total due. The remainder of the payment is Due May 8th. You can pay cash, check, VENMO, or cc (cc use will require a small fee).
Additional payments
If you choose to partake in the two study sessions offered: This is an additional $400. The first study session will be in person at MH Pilates Studio about a month out from the Exam, yes you can do this virtually if needed. The second study session will be Friday November 7th, also at MH Pilates Studio in Gaylord- your presence is highly suggested.
Reminder, you will also be paying to continue your education as a student. You will need 20 hours taking classes, 20 observing and 20 teaching. Meg will not require students to pay to observe at her studio, but you will need to set this up in advance. We want you to be aware of how learning does not stop.
